The Peti Lari reimagines the everyday street vending cart as a dignified, climate-responsive, and adaptive urban object by Kruti Shah and Sebastián Trujillo-Torres of Chaal Chaal Agency. Emerging from a deeper investigation into the intelligence of informal street infrastructure, the design responds to the realities of vendors working long hours within challenging city conditions. Features such as integrated shade, misting systems, solar-powered lighting, and agile mobility improve both vendor comfort and the preservation of fresh produce, while its closing shell protects goods after use. Painted in collaboration with House of Berserk, the cart's flora and fauna motifs extend the narrative beyond function, positioning the lari within a larger urban ecology where people, streets, produce, and non-human life coexist as part of the city's evolving future.
