Wicker Weave III

The collective's practice reinterprets traditional craft through contemporary material exploration, using raffia (Raphia farinifera), cotton thread, and bamboo (Bambusa vulgaris) as mediums of cultural renewal and responsible innovation. Once used in basketry, matting, and ceremonial textiles, these materials take on sculptural form — playful, tactile, and hand-shaped — asserting organic irregularity as a counterpoint to synthetic uniformity.
